9th ANNUAL HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH FORUM

 

     High School students have a chance to participate in the New Mexico Section sponsored HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH FORUM paper presentation contest to be held on Monday, NOVEMBER 3, 2008 9:00 AM at the Bernalillo County Extension office in Albuquerque New Mexico.   

     The paper presentation consists of each participant preparing and giving a 6-8 minute presentation based on some aspect of “RANGE MANAGEMENT”.  Topics for this session have been very diverse, but always exhibit quality.  Student papers can address any aspect of range management.  Literature reviews, opinion papers or original research. Use of visual aids is strongly encouraged and may include posters, overheads, slides, or multi-media presentation software.  

     The 1st and 2nd place winners in the New Mexico contest will be awarded plaques and a scholarship(Provided by the New Mexico Section SRM and the New Mexico Farm and Livestock Bureau) to defray costs to compete and participate in the International High School Youth Forum  at the 2009 International SRM meeting in Albuquerque New Mexico , February 8-12, 2009.  The 1st and 2nd place winners will also present their talks at the New Mexico section SRM winter meeting in January, 2009 where they will be awarded their prizes.

DEADLINE PAPERS MUST BE POSTMARKED ON OR BEFORE OCTOBER 15, 2008.
